Clouds sitting just over where the sun went down. An aircraft with a sunlit vapour trail can be seen above the line of clouds.

View looking north from the top of the local hill. In reality, the surrounding regions were quite dark, but because I was using a tripod to hold my camera steady, I could use quite a long exposure time to let more light in, and capture colours and details that I couldn't see with my naked vision.

There were quite a few street lights on.
