27.5 cm (w) x 19 cm (h), pastels on acid-free coloured-ground ‘Canson’ paper. Date produced: 1988 - 1992
This was drawn on-site, looking towards west-northwest in the afternoon. The water glistens in a magical way, directly underneath the sun - very soothing, and poetic. It feels special, because it is real, and it just happens in 'freefall', due to the combination of all the conditions interacting at the time (without any effort from any person). People can be important as being things that might be able to appreciate such spectacles (though many people don't seem to be able to appreciate such things - such things are often too easily 'taken for granted' by many people).
