55 cm (w) x 38 cm (h), conté on brown paper. Date produced: 1988 - 1992
Drawn completely on-site at Botanic Park in Adelaide, within one three hour session. Botanic Park has a good number of stately Moreton Bay fig trees, among other large trees, and open flat areas. It felt nice to be among a group of these large trees. Beautiful bird calls could be heard, and lovely moist fragrances filled my nostrils. There was a lovely interplay of sunlight and shadows across the whole scene.
I enjoyed being in Botanic Park. It is a park that is open to everyone. It is situated next to the Adelaide Botanic Gardens.
The sanguine (blood) coloured conté had a lovely feel to it.
