There were lovely rhythmical sounds here of light surf, mixed with the high-pitched chirping of small birds. The air felt fresh, cool and just a little salty.

This was seen as I walked up the path to the top of the Black Cliff Headland.

There are thousands of rounded rocks on the beach, as well as sand.
