29.5 cm (w) x 21 cm (h), black ink on grey bond paper. This is one of many experiments into creating images from splashed drops of ink. I deliberately wanted to get some interesting splash marks, because of their visual excitement and because they are fun to produce. I also wanted to suggest a metaphor relationship with stars and galaxies in the universe. Part of the reason for this is to suggest something of the nature of the workings of the universe, whether in determining the outcome of ink droplets on paper, or in determining the spread of bodies of mass throughout the universe. |
