Here, I am trying to capture the movements of the clouds, the movements of the tree in the breeze and the flickering leaves.

This painting was produced entirely on-site, during sessions of about an hour and a half at the same time over several days of similar weather conditions.

The resulting painting ended up with quite thick paint within the tree. I eventually painted the sky over most of the background that I had developed in the painting, because the sky was felt to be more important than the background that I had.
