This wave was viewed from high up on the board walk that runs along the top of the cliffs to the sea. Below the cliffs here is a wave-cut platform of many layers of rock, including pieces of rock that have fallen later from the cliffs. The chocolate brown coloured rocks here have been aged by geologists to have been formed around 600 million years ago.
