The painting was a lot of fun to paint because of its simplicity and boldness. Many people have commented that they could have painted it, so it is not as captivating as a painting that looks more photographic or skilful. It is interesting to note that they even though they felt that they could produce a painting like this, they hadn’t.

I prefer to enjoy the range of possibilities that one can pursue, rather than judging a piece solely on how difficult it may have been to realise. The real value of this type of painting lies within the ideas behind it.
