Computer Kinetic Abstract: Morning Light 012


6200 pixels (w) x 3600 pixels (h), computer ‘painting’ using my own ‘kinetic’ abstract computer program.

This abstract image makes good use of the swap buffer (a second buffer that can hold a different image, in this case a photograph for reading the colours to use). Random positioned and sized rectangles that are aligned either horizontally or vertically are applied using colours read from random positions in the image in the swap buffer. I tried generating many abstracts using this approach before finding this pleasing result.

Computer Kinetic Abstract: Hallett Cove Conservation Park 0288


6200 pixels (w) x 3600 pixels (h), computer ‘painting’ using my own ‘kinetic’ abstract computer program.
Date produced: 16th April 2015

This abstract image only uses rectangles that are aligned either vertically or horizontally. Each rectangle gets its colour by reading the colour of the respective position of a photograph, taken at the Hallett Cove Conservation Park, that was loaded into the swap buffer. I feel a nice sense of poetry coming from this abstract image, even though it is still quite complex.

Like the previous abstract image, this abstract image only uses rectangles that are aligned either vertically or horizontally. Each rectangle gets its colour by reading the colour of the respective position of a photograph, taken in the city of Adelaide, that was loaded into the swap buffer. Again, I feel a nice sense of poetry coming from this abstract image.
