This is a multiple session (probably about 10 sessions) pastel of fruit of varying shapes and local colours. I was concentrating on recording accurate shapes, colours and tones. The fruit used were two lemons, one banana, one apple, one pear and one orange. There was interesting variation between the yellows and oranges of the lemons, banana and pear.

This pastel was produced directly from an arrangement set up in my studio (a converted garage), using natural light coming in through a window.
