This version of trying to express the shade the tree provides is from inside the trees shade, looking out to the heat and the light. The world beyond the trees canopy becomes coloured with heat and light. The shade under the trees canopy is cool and soothing.
The original idea was to include warm rays of sunlight passing from the canopy to the ground. At this stage I wasnt sure whether such rays would just ruin the result I had, so I decided to try the idea using the computer first.
