Digital photograph composition, post-processed with my own image processing program for creating some special distortion mappings.
Date produced: While living at North Adelaide (2005-2006).
Manually combined composition of 24 digital photographs taken without a tripod. The photographs were firstly positioned in an array of 6 x 4 (some keystone distortions were needed to keep the whole image fairly well integrated).
The array was then processed using my own program for applying a coaxal-orthographic projection (a re-mapping of the bitmap so that an originally rectangular grid follows a pattern of circles that intersect at right angles). One of the resulting effects is that both the top and bottom edges of the image are all pushed together around key intersection points. The rest of the image is like a combination of 2 fish-eye-lens photographs.
